THE ACTUAL PROBLEMS IN PHILOLOGICAL CONTEXT OR THE TERRORISM OF FREEDOM

The essay explores some of the actual problems, such as paradoxes of freedom, politics and religion in the philological context. The very concept of freedom is regarded through the prism of the opposite philosophies of Dostoevsky and Marquis de Sade. The essay advances the idea that freedom from inner censorship, and from the ability to tell the good from the evil ? is no longer a freedom, but instead, a self-will. Such kind of “liberty”, asserted by the French ideologist of “sadism”, which knows nothing sacred, nothing “higher than man himself” leads to self destruction. This devastating tendency is defined in the essay as “the terrorism of freedom”.
