This article discusses the individual psychological characteristics that influence the professional development of employees of UIS. Substantiates the idea that individual psychological characteristics such as aggression and tendency to anxiety, communication, individualism influence the formation of professional skills of the cadets of the universities of the Federal penitentiary service of Russia. The focus is on the search for interdependence between the indicators related to professional development and individual psychological characteristics of cadets.
