Comparative analysis of the industry's innovative capacity in the regions of Ukraine

Abstract
One of the main directions of the Program of investment and innovation development in Ukraine and national projects identified the development of public-private partnerships in industrial regions in attracting different sources of capital investment. This is considered the relevance of the study. For large-scale modernization projects in key sectors of industry in the region are required significant investment resources, a powerful source of which could be a private business. At present, the business is growing interest to state support, thus reducing the risks of private investment, improve the reliability of investment projects for credit institutions. The aim of the article is comparative analysis of the development of innovative potential of the industry from a regional perspective. The study was conducted for the 15 regions of Ukraine, where the analysis of dynamics of the basic indicators of the innovation and investment development in the regions surveyed implemented using statistical methods: calculation of Spearman's rank correlation coefficient and the closeness of the connection between the volumes of assimilated capital investments and the cost of scientific and technical work. On the basis of the calculation of linear Pearson correlation coefficient the level of linear correlation between the amount of capital investments and sales of innovative products, as well as between the amount of financing of innovative activity and sales of innovative products in the Kiev, Zakarpattia and Odessa region level appreciated.
