Abstract
The study focused on the influence of cultural practices on peace-building process in the Niger Delta region. The population of the study consists of the inhabitants of the sampled communities in Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers state. The descriptive survey design was adopted. Stratified proportional random sampling technique was used to select a total of one thousand four hundred and sixty five (1465) respondents from three local government areas each of Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers state. A self constructed questionnaire was used for the data collection. The content validity of the instrument was determined by three experts from the Faculty of Education, University of Benin and the reliability co-efficient of 0.84 was obtained for the instrument and the data was analyzed using multiple regression statistics.
