SOME ASPECTS OF MODERN PHYTOTHERAPY

The lecture is dedicated to modern approaches to phytotherapy and its role in treatment and prophylaxis. The given literature data are based on scientifically accepted facts and principles of evidence based medicine. Standardization of medicinal remedies from plants is accentuated. The main attention is paid to positive and negative aspects of phytotherapy, indications and contraindications, principles and rules of treatment with medicinal plants and also teaching phytotherapy as a clinical discipline. The lecture is intended for medical students and general practitioners.
