Renovation of riverside industrial district of the central part of dnipropetrovsk

Summary. Purpose. The purpose of the work is studying of problems the riverside of industrial territories in the post-industrial cities. The following tasks have been revealed: improvement of the territory; exception of holes in city fabrics; inclusion of this territory in structure of the city; revitalization of the territory by of creation of public spaces; restoration of an ecological framework by creation of the green corridors; preservation of economic activity on the basis of the industry which has historically developed and is common for the city with development of modern technologies; preservation of the developed system of spaces and constructions. The purpose of the project is not just improvement of the territory; it is also creation of new type of cultural spaces. Methodology.For the research graphic-analytical methods, studying and analysis of foreign and domestic experience of renovation and revitalization of the riverside of industrial territories have been used. The master plan of the city has been analyzed, considerable industrial regions, which are located in the central and coastal areas of the city are defined. Findings. The technique of renovation and revitalization of this territory by sanitation of industrial territories, its improvement, and change of structure and introduction of new functions is offered. Expediency of renovation of these objects, introduction of new, actual functions necessary for these or those districts of the city causes economic, social, cultural, psychological and esthetic development of areas. Originality. Ways of revitalization and renovation of this riverside industrial territory, and also stages of introduction of the project are developed.Practical value. By results of research it is possible to develop the stage-by-stage project of renovation of this territory taking into account its sustainable development. The idea of the presented research consists in identification and use on the example of the city of result of transformation of production territories by renovation and reconstruction of industrial territories of the city which analysis and an assessment of a state have shown that there are abandoned industrial territories which need sanitation.
