Abstract

Aim. To classify dangers and possible damages of different structural elements and develop methods that enable you to avoid undue risks and losses during maintenance of structures. Methodology. is to identify probability of undesirable consequences in different possible service situations and to develop the algorithm for analysis of structures with prediction of their behaviour in partial damage or partial bearing-capacity failure. If there are unaccounted, unforeseen and undefined factors that cause the damage of the structure at the stage of maintenance; when you apply logic analysis to determine probability of undesirable cases in different possible (even theoretically) service situations that should be stipulated during design and erection of high-rise building; when you apply logic methods for analysis of ‘trees of cases' or ‘trees of refuses', it is possible to measure the risk of transformation from emergency situation to an accident and to find out resources to avoid occurrence of progressive damage of the structure. Using theory of probability, we calculate probability of undesired case as a function of danger. The author develops method for analysis of consequences of refuses (ACR) to identify dangers. ACR is the inductive type of analysis, it helps to consider in series one element after another, evaluate all possible types of refuses or emergency situations and determine their total effect of the whole structural system. Results. The author presents research algorithms for refuses of structural elements and structural systems and develolops method to measure the risk of an accident. Safety regulations for the building structure are also suggested. Scientific novelty of the paper is to enhance the method for measuring risk of an accident in structural elements and structural sysems based on static simulation methods. Practical significance. This method enables you to determine numerical value of risk of emergency situation in the building that consists of a system of structural elements with independent equally possible refuses at any stage of the maintenance of the structure.
