Abstract

The article analyzes the actual concept of pedagogical skill in the modern educational thought. It is interpreted as a multifunctional phenomenon that reflects the past in a world of thought, science and art training and education, has deep historical and social roots. The historical origins of pedagogical mastery from Sumerian schools are established when there were set a basic democratic idea of training and education. The role of musicians' skills in the Ancient World, especially in ancient Greece and in ancient China are analyzed. The author also investigated the productive use of centuries national experience as a prerequisite for the development of professional skill (traditions of ancient Russian pedagogy of Kievan Rus times, educational efforts and fraternal brotherhoods schools XV ? XVI centuries, the development of art education of Ukrainian Renaissance times). Many interpretations of the concept "skills" are provided by outstanding teachers' heritage: A. Disterveg, D. Diderot, Ya. Komenskyi, I. Pestalozzi, J. Russo, K. Ushynskyi and others. It is demonstrated the development of views on skills of musician as for the figures of music art of different times. It is noted that the sources of skill which are analyzed in two directions (pedagogical and music) being equal components of productive activity of a teacher of music has already a deep understanding in the modern scientific literature. More often pedagogical skill means a high level of professional activity, mastering educational technology, and at the same time expresses the personality of the teacher in general, his experience, civil and professional position.
