Abstract

Theoretical and practical issues of innovative payment services are the subject of the research. The purpose of the article is to analyse innovative payment services and their role in the trade activation. Methods of research. The methods of theoretical generalization, comparison and system analysis are used in the article. Results. Payment services market fulfills one of key functions of the financial system providing implementation of various transactions. Payment services are offerors activities to implement transactions in favor of consumers. Payment services were proposed to classify by offerors, by payment tools, by value of payment transactions, and by kinds of payment system. Innovative payment services relate to payments carried out by paperless payment tools. Current trends of the payment services market in Ukraine are the following: reducing the share of cash in payment for goods; increasing the number of non-bank institutions providing financial services; activation of equal money transfer from card to card on the domestic market; increasing the share of mobile phones, smartphones and tablets in the structure of payment tools, which stimulates the development of e-commerce and m-commerce. Future outlooks for payment services market development in Ukraine are expansion of contactless payments, change PayPal ?Send only? program on the SRW program and expansion of the cryptocurrency use in the field of e-commerce. Area of the results application. The obtained results provide the theoretical basis for the promotion of innovative activities on the domestic payment services market. Conclusions. The widespread introduction of innovative payment services in Ukraine will contribute to the integration of the national payments markets into the international market. It should be based on convenience, socialization and security of payment services. The basis of innovative development of the domestic market for payment services should be a harmonization of standards and business rules with the European requirements providing for the licensing and supervision of suppliers of services. This will help to ensure the safety and efficiency of payment services.
