Abstract
The article is devoted to the 85 anniversary since the birth of Elena A. Khalikova ? a major researcher of medieval archaeology of the Volga-Ural region. E.A. Khalikova is known for her works on development of the Islamic burial rite in pre-Mongolian Volga Bulgaria as well as on the early Hungarians according to the unique Bolshie Tigany burial ground on the Lower Kama.
