Isolation, identification on soil mycoflora of sugarcane field in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh

Abstract
The present study deals with the seasonal variations in soil fungal population of traditional sugarcane field in Pilibhit districts of Uttar Pradesh. Soil fungi in sugarcane field need to improve knowledge of diversity of these micro fungi in sugarcane growing areas viz. Amariya, Marori, Puranpur, Lalaurikheda, Barkheda, Bisalpur and Bilsanda blocks Pilibhit, districts of Uttar Pradesh. The aim of this work was to isolate and identify the fungi from soil samples of these sugarcane fields. Seven soil samples of sand (surface of 20cm deep) were carried out during Jan- Dec 2014 in low to high tide. In all the twelve genera and thirty seven species were observed on these samples.
