Abstract
Pre-emergence application of pretilachlor plus supplemented with one hand weeding (HW) at 45 days after sowing (DAS) provided excellent weed control and higher grain yield than the two HW at 20 and 45 DAS. Intercropping of Sesbania rostrata and dual cropping of Azolla microphylla with direct seeded rice (DSR) resulted in reduced density and dry weight of weeds. Regarding nitrogen (N) management 100% RDN with DSR + Sesbania intercropping had a positive impact on yield attributes and thereby, produced higher yield.
