Abstract
The multivolume Tatar encyclopaedia and its scientific and practical prospect is considered in the article. In the context of the “black words” analysis according to the section the archaeology of Tatarstan, the Tatar and other ethnos included in the Tatar encyclopaedia it is shown the importance of development of the new illustrated scientific reference media “Archaeology of Tatarstan: the encyclopaedia”, which is necessary for systematization and accumulation of materials on historical and cultural heritage of the people of East Eurasia. The special attention is focused on the selection of archaeological materials specific and scientific methodology of writing of the branch local lore scientific and reference edition.
