E-LEARNING AS A PLATFORM OF ORGANISING PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS’ SELF-EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the analysis of e-learning opportunities for the organization and support of future teachers' self-education activity. The analysis of ?e-learning” points out that any electronic device can be used in education for information processing. Considering e-learning in terms of the appropriateness of its use the educational benefits of its using is identified. The author believes the argument is not only to the development of e-learning, but also its widespread and comprehensive use in the full-time study. The author reveals such advantages: improving the learning efficiency through differentiation and individualization of self-educational activity; the automatization of the control knowledge process; improving visibility test material; the increasing number of offered educational information; the visualization of models and the processes of researching phenomena; the efficient use of training time; the intensification of the educational process. The author gives a particular attention to the opportunities of the e-learning use in the organization and support of self-education due to changing priorities in future teacher's training,. In the article the following work forms are considered: the virtual group work (future professionals' teamwork on a specific task, which independently or through a consultant setting standards of communication and interaction, chooses the direction of their work and the means to achieve its goals in a virtual environment); video methods (an application of video training, videos of expert-specialists' classroom lectures and practical tutorials, video tours, video records of and etc.); blogging methods (searching and structuring information on a particular topic). The author specifies the possibility and feasibility of their use in self-education. Students have an opportunity to organize their own self-study education with the help of personal computer, laptop, and mobile phone. Due to the use of information technology the increase of students' independent work, which optimizes the learning process, is realized.
