TEACHERS’ VIEWS ON ORGANIZATIONAL CREATIVITY

Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine the perceptions of primary school teachers about organizational creativity. The research was conducted via qualitative research method. Phenomenological design was used. The 15 participants were determined by easy reachable sampling method. Semi-structured interview form was used as data collection tool. The semi structured interview form was composed of open-ended questions for determining the perceptions of teachers. Descriptive and content analysis were used for analyzing the data. According to the answers of the participants themes and sub themes were formed. The results indicated that five themes were determined after the analysis which are the perspectives regarding the meaning of organizational creativity, the factors that cause organizational creativity to come out, the need for organizational creativity at schools, the factors that prevent organizational creativity to come out and lastly the suggestions for increasing organizational creativity at schools. Lastly, the need for conditions where employees can express themselves namely, their emotions, feelings, thoughts easily and freely are emphasized.
