Abstract
Theoretical and practical aspects of neoindustrial modernization and their impact on the national economy are examined in the article. Main problems and prospects of Ukraine's integration into the European community have been identified on the basis of the research of current trends of the European Union. It is noted that in modern conditions, modernization has become a factor in creating economic forms and institutions that contribute to the development and dominance of commodity-money relations in the production. At the same time, post-industrial modernization reflects transition of the economy from an industrial-type development to the information economy, or knowledge economy. It is pointed out that an industrial vector of the development of a new type of cities and their agglomerations is more relevant for Ukraine.
