ENJEUX LIES AUX STATIONNEMENTS ANARCHIQUES DES VEHICULES GROS PORTEURS DANS LA VILLE DE PARAKOU AU BENIN

The parking issue affects the overall functioning of the city and the quality of urban living. In Parakou, public space is rare but it is perceived as free. The excessive release of parking for large aircraft, the anarchic parking is one of the major concerns of the authorities of our city.The overall objective of this research is to analyze issues related to uncontrolled parking of large aircraft in the city of Parakou and to find possible solutions to this important sector relieved. Parakou, a crossroads city and capital of the big carriers Country is located in the northern part and more specifically in the Department of Borgou. The methodology adopted in this study is based on documentary research, field surveys and the use of model SWOT (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats). Using this methodology allowed to realize the state of occupation of the space by trucks in the city. The occupation of space is mostly poor to nearly 80%. Despite this state of affairs, the sector seems normal. This for the lack of firm decision of the authorities, the geographical location of parking, antisocial behavior and indiscipline carriers are the factors that slow the development of the sector and therefore the city. Following these multiple problems, the municipality of Parakou with the assistance of financial partners or even the government must of started infrastructure projects in the area, create a management committee and monitoring compliance with the laws administered, ensure respect the decisions adopted.
