Abstract

Many famous Russian scientists have made a great contribution to the development of methods to increase the capacity of transmission lines. One of the promising methods is the use of high-temperature wires of increased bandwidth. The capacity of the overhead power lines (overhead lines) through the use of high-temperature wires can be increased from a few dozen to several hundred percent comparing to AC wires (ACSR). Experience of using increased capacity wires in Europe, Japan and America already has more than two decades. In 2008, some manufacturers producing wires of increased capacity have entered the Russian market. Currently, a wide range of new generation wires were submitted and allows more efficient solvation of the optimization problem. Also, one of the methods to increase the capacity of transmission lines is the use of reactive power compensation. Reactive power compensation, now, is an important factor which allows to solve the problem of energy saving almost among enterprise. According to the estimates of domestic and leading foreign experts, the share of energy, in particular electricity takes on the order of 30-40% of the cost of production. This is a fairly strong argument to the head seriously approach the analysis and audit of energy use and the development of techniques for reactive power compensation. Reactive power compensation - is the key to solving the issue of energy saving and increase network bandwidth.
