The article emphasizes the need to create additional teaching materials for teaching foreign students preparatory faculty notes professionally oriented educational and scientific texts printed in Russian. The author proposes the development of their lesson in scientific style of speech for foreign students-philologists of the first certification level training. At lesson center ? educational and scientific text “Linguistics and its role in human life”, which is accompanied by a set of tasks. Performing these tasks allow students to adequately comprehend the text, begin to form notes skills and to develop their language skills in all kinds of speech activity
