KARTAGENERS SYNDROME

Respiratory tract infections are common problem in our country. In a patient with recurrent respiratory tract infections, the etiology may be general impairment of immune mechanism, abnormalities of mucus or abnormalities of cilia. Here I report a patient who has recurrent lower and upper respiratory tract infections and situs inversus totalis. The present case i.e. Kartageners syndrome is an inherited disorder transmitted in autosomal recessive manner with variable penetrance
