Ordnance factory medak is the Continues manufacturer of the Indian army tank SARATH. It was established on 19 July 1984.OFMK is the only manufacturer of Infantry Combat Vehicles (ICVs) in India. Over the decades, the company has diversified its product range, manufacturing surface-to-air missile (SAM) launchers, armoured ambulances, self-propelled howitzers, armoured cars, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), armoured light recovery vehicles, NBC recce vehicles, mine protected vehicles, armoured amphibious dozers, armoured radars, naval armaments, etc.Indian license-produced variant of the BMP-2 built by Ordnance Factory Medak. The first vehicle, assembled from components supplied by KBP, was ready in 1987. By 1999, about 90% of the complete vehicle and its associated systems were being produced in India. It is estimated that by 2007, 1,250 vehicles had been built. And now the factory is only manufacture of the (ICV'S) such as sarath bmp, other vehicles like MINE PROECTED VEHICLES etc.And rocket launchers like pinaka pods etc. So I would like to submit a project report on the INFANTAARY COMBAT VEHICLES i.e. on SARATH, specifications of the tank and other MINE PROTECTED VEHICLES which are in paramilitary forces, My report consists of the designs of the Indian army tanks and material used to manufacture the tank and the tests performed on the tank at the FINAL ACCEPTANCE section. And it includes the implementation in turret of the SARATH and different series of the tanks.
