KHOREZM SCHOOL OF PERFORMANCE ON TANBUR

In this article the Khorezm school of performances on tanbur is considered. In Khorezm the exponents perform six with half maqam called “Tanbur maqam”. Many poems were dedicated to the music instrument tanbur, the “tanbur note” was created based on special sign. The maqam performance, which are part of “Shashmaqam” by Yaqub Harratov, which was a master-performer on tanbur in Khorezm, is studied, as well as name of the other performers on tanbur and singer in Khorezm are called, it is revealed that at present their tradition continues by the descendants.
