Abstract
Selection principles for parameters of single-mass tuned mass dampers with a friction(viscous and Coulomb friction) are considered. In the examined examples TMD appeared most effective with the damper of viscous friction. Rational tuning for TMD with dampers dry and viscous friction coincide, but their efficiency different.
