Pulmonary hypertension - A rare complication of post polio residual paralysis

Scoliosis as a manifestation of post polio residual is becoming increasingly rare due to increased awareness of polio preventive measures. Scoliosis in direct proportion to its severity can lead to restrictive lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. Development of pulmonary hypertension adversely affects the morbidity and mortality in such patients.
