THE EVALUATION OF TOURISM AND RECREATION PROSPECTS OF UST-JANSKY DISTRICT IN THE REPUBLIC OF SAKHA (YAKUTIA)

The Ust-Jansky ulus (district) was established January 5, 1967. It is located in the north of the republic in the Arctic circle. Tourism belongs to a services sector (branches of the non-productive sphere) that defines specifics of factors and conditions of its functioning. The services sector is characterized by direct delivery provision and consumption of product, from here the main shortcoming – service quality is estimated only after actual consumption. Recently tourism in Ust-Jansky district provokes interest among the Russian tourists, but it has spontaneous character in terms of self-organized tourists. 01.01.2015 municipal public institution "Management of Physical Culture, Sport and Development of Tourism" has begun its activity. Tourist tours in various directions are developed.
