Abstract
At the present stage of the society development, the key issue not only of Kazakhstan, but of all modern society is the preservation of the humanistic worldview, social harmony and peace, the formation of the continuity of generations on the basis of tolerance. The author considers the main aspects of the concept "tolerance", there is also an attempt to define "tolerance" and "ethnic tolerance" in the paper.
