Abstract

The main purpose of writing of the review is to overcome the physiological adversities like short gastric residence time and unpredictable gastric emptying times, which are associated with controlled drug delivery systems. The floating or hydrodynamically balanced systems are mainly used to increase the gastric retention time. This review gives brief information about Floating Drug Delivery System (FDDS).
