Europeanism of epistolary of symbolic persons of the late XIX – early XX centuries

This article analyses the concept of «еuropeanism» as a cultural and historical, philosophical, literary concept. It determines the main positions of the Ukrainian europeanism. It decodes European codes of symbolic persons of the late XIX – early XX centuries. It characterizes main concepts of letters, which are designates by polyphony of the European vector. It turns attention to the fact that the then intellectuals strongly conduced the integration of Ukraine into the European zone, particularly: they translated and popularized classical European text, dramaturgy; promoted the study of European languages; spread popular scientific European works; actively cooperated with the European intellectuals.
