THE LACTOPEROXIDASE SYSTEM FOR CARIES PREVENTION IN CHILDREN

The article presents the research of change of oxidation-reduction potential and pH value of saliva in 19 children aged 6-7 at application of oral care foam “Magic foam calcium and milk enzymes”. The results have shown a significant increase in oxidation-reduction potential (from 0.62 ± 0.29 mV to 0.73 ± 0.35 mV) and insignificant decrease of pH (from 7.36 to 7.26) in saliva. The preventive measures are used inadequately. 62.8 % of parents do not know about oral care foams for children. Having applied foam and obtained information about prevention, 88.2 % of parents had a positive attitude towards usage of this product by children.
