Design and Analysis of Slotted UWB Monopole Antenna using DGS

This paper presents the design and analysis of slotted UWB monopole antenna with stepped ends and modified ground structure,The basic planar antenna is modifying by cutting a U- Shaped slot on the radiating patch ,that contributes to ultra wide band characteristics the operating frequency of the proposed antenna is (2.6-10.8)GHZ. It covers S(2-4)GHZ , C(4-8)GHZ band.It operates at 3.3GHZ for WIMAX Application and 5.6GHZ for WLAN Application. Commercially available high frequency structural simulator (HFSS) is used to investigate this design. Various parameters such as S-parameters, gain is to bestudied.
