A Coupled Fed- Loop Antenna Design for LTE Metal Rimmed Smartphone Applications

A simple coupled fed loop antenna for metal framed mobile phones is designed,which provides LTE operation.By using the steel rim as a part of antenna,the proposed antenna occupies a 14.5mm*8mm area of no ground portion.The proposed antenna consist of coupled fed loops in particularcomposed of components of the steel rim with two slit, a highpass matching circuit and distributed inductor.Therefore the generated band can cover 4GHzrespectively.The prototype is manufacture as well as tested and the performance such asradiation pattern,antenna gain and efficiency are measured.
