Abstract

The article is devoted to issue of creating an art space of music and dance performance, — one of the most important issues of Postmodern Dance. Postmodern Dance — the phenomenon of artistic culture of the United States, formed in the context of the experimental art of the 1960s and was further developed in the second half of the XX century in the framework of conceptualism. The dance aesthetics cultivated combine in an organic way art and technology and reality, and denied the process of representation in the art. It emphasized the role of the recipient and the possibility of leaving viewers to personal experience, thus provoking an understanding of creativity as a life and as expend the borders the process of the research of art. The concept has become an essential part of the «living» art. The most important concepts — the time, the art space, the action were rethinking in the Postmodern Dance. The author's attention is focused on the problem of experimenting with а physical space in the choreographic performances, it opened great possibilities for artistic experimentation.
