Abstract

It is known that leukemia is a disease of the bone marrow, respectively, in this disease there is a violation of normal hematopoiesis (usually the formation of blast cells - precursors of leukocytes, which subsequently interfere with the development and functioning of normal leukocytes) Acute myeloid leukemia to date (the pathology of the development of myeloid cells, myeloblasts, etc.) is a rare pathology in children (about 14% of cases), which, unfortunately, it can not be said about patients which are 40-45 years old and older - because in this age period there is a sharp increase in the incidence. There is no single cause of acute myeloid leukemia to date. According to scientists, this disease can be a consequence of prolonged exposure to ionizing radiation on the body, a number of chemicals, and may also result from a genetic predisposition. Relapse is a major problem in acute myeloid leukemia and adversely impacts survival.
