Abstract

At the 49th Annual meeting of the American Headache Society at Los Angeles in June 2006, Scientists from Ohio State University Medical centre presented research on 97 candidates which demonstrated that TMS (Transacranial Magnetic Stimulation) – a medically non- invasive treatment for testing depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and tinnitus among other ailments – helped to prevent and even reducing the severity of migraines among its patients. S. suaveolens fruit may disrupt the aura phase of Migraines. In about 75% of the migraine headaches it was found to eliminate or reduce Nausea, Vomiting, Headache, Migraine, Giddiness, Hemicrania and other associated symptom. Our research suggests that it could be more effective then medications in treating migraines and that there is a neurological components to migraines however, a larger study will be conducted in the future to better assess its effectiveness.1, 2 such type of study will provide a great impetus to researchers. The result of trail this herbal medicine seems to be outcome of effect of always direct touch of fruit with the body, which is useful in nervous headache i.e. it was tend effective properties when direct touch (always) on upper part of the body. Further, the drug was found most promising and preventive with the claim to reduce the frequency and severity of migraine before it starts. The drug (fruit part) is brown in colour, ring shape and have no odor. Therefore, patala (S. suaveolens) fruits can be recommended to the patient of migraine with almost negligible side effects.
