PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE SPEECH OF JUNIOR STUDENTS: EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES

The article is devoted to the study of phraseological units and their peculiar use in the speech of junior students. Semantics of phraseological units and results of the question- naire survey attended by 24 respondents (students of the third form of Birsk Lyceum in Re- public of Bashkortostan) are considered. In the study of phraseological units used the method of dictionary definitions. Based upon the conducted analysis the importance of use of phra- seological units is stated as they add special emphasis, expressivity, imagery and facilitate speech enrichment
