ANALYSIS OF INVESTMENT CLIMATE OF ARMENIA

One of the most important goals of different countries is attraction of foreign investments. Nevertheless, it should be noted that many factors impact on the inflow of foreign investment. In 2015 Armenia became a member of the Eurasian Economic Union and gives the investors the opportunity to export to the huge Eurasian market. This step seems to solve the problem of the small domestic market of the Republic of Armenia. However, according to statistics inflow of foreign direct investment of RA has decreased in 2015 by 50%. The purpose of this article is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the investment climate of RA in comparison with the EAEU countries and with neighboring countries. As a result of the analysis, we can say that Armenia has average chances of attracting FDI on privileged condition of exports to the market of the EAEU. To increase the FDI inflows, as well as to reduce the factors that increase the instability of the investment climate special reforms are needed.
