Bibliography analysis of press studies dissertations as a method of studying the state of problems solution and prediction of the development of science

The article discusses the role of bibliographic sources in dissertation researches, draws attention to the specifics of the bibliographic support, bibliographies of literature as an independent research product, which must be taken into account during the dissertations innovation and scientific quality analysis. Bibliography of dissertations in national pressstudies envisages scientific reconstruction of state and contents of periodicals, which are objects or subjects of the dissertations, it reveals the fullness of the source base and usually requires the use of bibliographic research methods. Bibliographies are a noteworthy independent scientific result. There is a need of dissertations bibliographyanalysis development, which is not only due to the quality of bibliography being a direct requirement for a dissertation, but also due to the considerable practical yield – a qualified source of bibliographic knowledge for bibliographic aids and electronic resources of the national bibliography preparation. A new direction of dissertation bibliography studies is the development of a predictive function and the use of analytical capabilities of bibliography in matters of science state and further development prediction.
