Abstract
The questions of teacher's innovation activity and its role in the modernization of education system are discovered. The results of the research performed in Bilotserkivsky Institute of lifelong professional education as for the readiness of the teacher of professional educational institution to innovative activity are shown. The ways of further adjustment of curricula and programs for course training of teachers are identified.
