Abstract

Schwannomas (neurilemmomas, neurinomas) are benign, slowly growing tumours arising from nerve sheath from different nerves including cranial, spinal roots or peripheral nerves. Its the most common benign peripheral nerve neoplasm. Malignant transformation is very rare. Here we have presented a case of schwannoma from superficial peroneal nerve, unusual nerve to be involved as only three cases have been reported in world literature before our case.
