PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A STATE MONOPOLY ON ALCOHOL PRODUCTION IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The article reveals the economic content and role of the state monopoly in the functioning of the mod- ern economy. The prospects of development of the state monopoly on the production and turnover of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products are analyzed. There are many opinions and points of view on the question of the essence of such an economic phenomenon as state monopoly. Until now, researchers can not arrive at unambig- uous conclusions about the impact of the state monopoly on the development and functioning of a market econ- omy, as well as the objective necessity of the existence of this institution of a modern economic system.
