Abstract
This paper presents the Strategy of Brazilian Government to improve the Information Security Risk Management and the Cyber Security in Brazilian Public Sector (BPS). It presents the Information Security Risk Management Methodology for the BPS and its support tool, based on best practices consolidated in international standards and considering the needs identified within the Brazilian public agencies. This initiative aims to bring a greater level of protection to Information Assets and Information and Communication Technologies in the scope of Brazilian Public Sector. It also aims to create a risk management culture within the BPS and optimize investments in Information Security and Cyber Security.
