Abstract

The article looks the urgency of the doping problem in modern sport, the impact of the big policy on the Olympic movement. It is connected with the world globalization, information technologies development and a greater influence on the public opinion. The doping problem existing not only in Russia – it is a “disease” of the whole world sport and it has political background. The problem topicality is acute about the IOC Executive Committee decision to suspend the membership of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) in the organization and removal of the Russian national team from participation in the Olympics in 2018 in Pyeongchang. Clean Russian sportsmen will be able to participate. The IOC Executive Committee decision violates the Olympic principles and Charter. The International Olympic Committee is much influenced by advertisers, TV channels and sponsors. The major sports events are becoming similar to competitions among laboratories; doping tests are accompanied with serious scandals, disqualifications. The world without doping and policy would be much bet- ter. People go in for sports for self-development and self-perfection
