The paper attempts to justify the need for the study of humanities within the training of future health professionals at medical higher educational institutions and processes of humanization. Formation humanitarian-oriented consciousness of medical students develops their personality and spiritual world through the development of ethnic, cultural, national, universal values. Improving the structure and content of liberal training of future physicians, the combination of all scientific and educational activities with history, culture and traditions of Ukraine and the world. It should be emphasized that the overall modern educational process in higher educational institutions objective is developing towards humanitarian orientation, based on the principles of humanism developed and tested centuries-old practice. Indeed, the term «liberal» means «that which makes its subject man». The idea and practice of humanization of society and education involves determining the individual - a single, unique, individual, individuality of every person's life and health as priority dominant social values as the most valuable treasure of society, preservation and development required in critical conditions. In other words, the term «humanism» means above all humanity physician: high psychological tolerance, love for others, gentleness in human relationships, respect for the identity and dignity. The term «humanism» is interpreted as a system of values, the center of which is the definition of man as the highest value. Among the issues on which should now work hard in the humanitarian aspect - to improve the structure and content of liberal training of future specialists, organic combination of all scientific and educational activities, ethnopedagogy, history, culture and traditions of Ukraine and the world, search and design an effective model of relations between teacher and student formation mechanism of management processes in the humanities in higher education institutions. One of the major problems of high school of any profile today should be the revival of its national identity, because it is designed to shape the future of the nation, its social and cultural gene pool. It is known that the intellectual level of the people - is primarily derived from education. Therefore, to solve this problem, should be established holistic, deliberate and effective system, which is to serve as training is not only highly qualified specialists but also education rights, nationally conscious person, a patriot of Ukraine.
