Abstract
ABSTRACT A novel Z-shaped antenna with defective ground structure fed by inset feed is proposed. It features a shorting pin to achieve bandwidth of 64% (4.76-9.24GHz), and return loss of -17.23dB at 7.34GHz. It finds applications in C band (4.76-8GHz), U-NII (5.15-5.350GHz and 5.47-5.825GHz) and X band (8-9.24GHz).
