MENTAL MODEL OF LIFE CHOICES

The article deals with the psychological phenomenon of the mental model of life choices developed by the author. It is difficult to differentiate between particular layers of the life model, so, investigating our own mental model from different perspectives, highlighting certain aspects, we obtain better result, i.e. the model of our own life choices with elucidated cause-and-effect relations, the most complete life scenario. Presented is the structure and components of this mental model; the distinction between adaptive (success) and non-adaptive («pseudo model») models is made. This phenomenon creates a qualitative basis for self-diagnosis, exploring and transformation of adults' mental models into more adaptive model, combined with personal characteristics: age-related and gender-related, physiological etc.
