Abstract
This article deals with the theory of phonological oppositions developed by N.S. Trubetzkoy in his fundamental work „Grundzüge der Phonologie“ published in 1938 in German language. He developed the theory of typology of phonological oppositions. One of them is the idea about neutralisation of phonological oppositions.
