Abstract

The article investigates innovative practices of banking efficiency - interfaces of applied programs, models of artificial intelligence, Internet of things. They are introduced with intense expansion beyond traditional products, services and channels. Under these conditions, the erosion of the boundaries between traditional products and the acceleration of technology convergence takes place. There is a growing demand for providing intelligent virtual assistants for interacting with clients through voice and text commands, as well as for the creation of centralized platforms, API interfaces. Innovative products and services are offered that either replace the existing solutions offered by banks or create a completely new quality and experience for customers. It is shown that the integration of in-depth analytics, digital delivery, and devices is a vital necessity for the efficiency of banking. The development of technological capabilities corresponds to the unique behavior of people and consumers, is gaining new significance in the face of modern models of digital banking services, such as ecosystem platforms. Global banks are striving to connect cloud-based modules that address certain regulatory barriers. It is shown that banking in the digital economy requires high-speed innovation, supporting the foundations with built-in flexibility and scalability. The directions of further innovative developments of 2018 are projected and three strategic consequences, which will be inherent in the banking industry in 2018, are in our opinion.
