THE STUDY OF LIFE QUALITY OF PATIENTS WITH VARIOUS EYE DISEASES. LITERATURE REVIEW

The article reviews the literature on the problem of studying the quality of life of patients with a number of ophthalmological diseases (cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, etc.), which are the main cause of hypovision and blindness. Literature search was carried out in the databases PubMed, Scopus, Medline, The Cocrane Library, Web of Knowledge, eLibrary, Google Academy, KAZNEB (Kazakhstan national electronic library). Search depth is 7-10 years. The 42 sources out of 130 were selected as analytical material for this article. Analysis of the sources showed that the study of the quality of life in ophthalmic patients serves as an additional criterion for assessing the effectiveness of the therapy and is a promising direction in modern ophthalmology that requires further study.
