Social importance and content of the right to environmental information

The article analyzes the provisions of the existing normative acts on regulating the access of the population to the information on the state of the environment. The authors find out the social significance of the right to access to environmental information and its role in the mechanism of improving the state of the environment. The essence and content of this constitutional right are revealed. The authors compare the relevant provisions of the Lugansk People’s Republic legislation and international environmental law.
