Abstract

This article considers the question about the level of strength training second year students of medical University. Statistical data on the health status of students in our country is particularly alarming. One of the reasons for this attitude to their health and level of physical fitness is the poor organization of physical education in an educational school. Constant monitoring of physical development and physical fitness level of boys and girls entering higher education institutions shows their decrease in comparison with the indicators of students who studied in higher education institutions in previous years. In article the analysis of results of delivery of other standard of the curriculum – lifting of legs in a vis on a crossbar is carried out. The results of the tests on physical performance revealed a low level of their strength training, which requires the improvement of the educational process for physical education and the use of both classical techniques and techniques, improved in recent years. The article also describes the methodology of the training process used abroad, aimed at the development of force, which was used in Russia, as a high-intensity training system called "Crossfit". In the process of strength training there is a need to combine exercises overall impact exercises, selectively aimed at improving individual muscle groups. Strength exercises recommended in the beginning of the main part of the session, because at this time there is the optimum condition of the Central nervous system, making better the education and improvement of neuro-coordination relationships that ensure growth of muscle strength.
